Born and raised in Tennessee, I’ve been reading science fiction and fantasy since grade school, when a nun introduced me to Robert Heinlein via “Tunnel in the Sky.” From there, I found Bradbury, van Vogt, Clark, Del Ray, Asimov, and so many others. My first job after dropping out of college was as a night manager of a Mini-Mart, followed by operating nuclear reactors for the US Navy. Since then, I’ve worked in a variety of fields, learning something new in every one of them. Over the years, I’ve written a few stories but never submitted any of them, although my mom said they were very good. WHen I was first encouraged by a non family member to submit a story, I did.

And here we are.

When I’m not reading or writing, I can be found engaged in one of his many hobbies: astrophotography, 3D printing, HAM radio (KO4LNC), hiking, making awesome barbecue, or just sitting poolside with my wife, 8 kids and 17 grandkids.
