About FantaSci

The convention that would finally be named FantaSci, owes its origins to HonorCon, a convention for fans of the Honor Harrington universe whose last iteration occurred in 2014. Several fans decided that they would continue the spirit of that convention in FantaSci, except that they wanted to expand beyond simply the celebration of one fandom to the celebration and growth of young authors throughout the science fiction and fantasy genre. We take great pride in also being a convention for fans by fans, where you have the opportunity to get up close and personal with some of your favorite authors to discuss everything from specific plot points in their books to the esoteric relationships between real world naval aviation and fantasy teleportation. We pride ourselves on being a convention by fans for fans and are dedicated to raising the awareness of, and appreciation for, science fiction and fantasy in all its forms.

At FantaSci, we aim to provide access to a host of authors, publishers, and professionals through a series of panel discussions, author readings, and solo talks or workshops, autograph signings, and extracurricular activities. Our inaugural year saw us host the very first 4 Horseman Dining Out, an event that we continue to put on for the 4HU fan group to this day.
